Waist Fan

Handheld fans have an obvious flaw: they occupy a hand. Waist Fan is built around removing that limitation. The maker describes it as a compact, waist-mounted fan intended mainly for outdoor activities and commuting, with a design concept it calls "the fusion of freedom and comfort."

Two ways to wear it

The fan offers two mounting options, a clip and a neck strap. The campaign suggests clipping it to a waist belt for more active use, and slinging it from the neck strap for work or commuting. It can also be attached to a backpack while hiking, according to the maker.

Battery, motor and build

Inside is a 10,000mAh lithium-ion battery that the maker says runs the fan for up to 12 hours continuously at low speed. The same battery works as a power bank, charging phones or tablets over USB-C. Airflow is adjustable across four levels: low, medium, high and a "high power" mode.

The motor is brushless. According to the campaign, it uses 30% less energy than a conventional brushed motor and is rated for more than 50,000 hours, which the maker describes as three times the lifespan of a conventional motor. It is also said to run quietly. The housing is ABS plastic, which the maker describes as light, impact-resistant and heat-resistant, and the blade area has a safety design intended to reduce the risk of injury from accidental contact.

Beyond cooling

• Air tube and air stone: according to the maker, these turn the fan into an aerator for home aquariums or fishing tanks, keeping a catch alive in transport
• 2-in-1 lanyard charging cable: a wearing strap that detaches to serve as the charging cable
• USB-C power bank output for phones and tablets

Waist Fan was presented as an all-or-nothing Kickstarter project, with a funding deadline of July 13, 2025 stated in the source.
