ZERA mini

Most so-called pocket fans are thicker and larger than their marketing suggests. According to the maker, ZERA mini's footprint matches a standard credit card exactly, small enough to slip into a jeans coin pocket or disappear in a palm. It weighs 69g (2.43 oz), and the maker positions it as an EDC item that sits alongside AirPods cases, keys and multitools without adding bulk.

The maker describes it as half the size of its larger ZERA MAX while retaining all of that model's functions and adding some smaller conveniences.

Airflow and control

Inside is a brushless motor that, the maker says, reaches 30,000 RPM from a single battery and produces airflow of up to 13m/s, compared with the 3–5m/s the campaign attributes to typical handheld fans. The maker claims the air reaches up to 10 meters, and suggests uses beyond cooling: clearing dust from camera lenses, keyboards and car interiors, or helping get a campfire going. The campaign cites smoke and water demonstrations to illustrate the airflow.

A built-in digital display shows the current setting across 100 steps of fan speed. Long-pressing ramps speed up or down, while single clicks jump between quarter, half, three-quarter and maximum presets.

Wearing it hands-free

The combo set, per the campaign, includes a 360° Easy-Switch clip, a strap system for neck or wrist use and a carabiner. The clip attaches to collars, cap brims, backpack straps or work-wear pockets, and the body rotates 360 degrees to aim air at the face, neck, waist or back.
