Why it matters

According to the maker, AERIONN Forma starts from a simple premise: what you travel with should be refined, purposeful and built to last. The Kickstarter project pairs a restrained, architectural form with aerospace-grade titanium and a practical interior, aiming for relevance over years rather than trends.

Titanium, one piece

The shell is made from Grade 1 commercially pure titanium certified to ASTM B265-15. The maker says the metal's natural flexibility lets it absorb impacts that might crack other hard metals, and that it resists corrosion, rust and degradation without paint or protective coatings. The case is built as a single continuous shell, avoiding joints and layered construction that the maker identifies as weak points.

The brushed matte finish is intended to limit reflections and develop a patina with use, while leather details soften the metal's feel. A flush TSA-approved combination lock and precision latch closure are integrated directly into the shell, with no exposed zippers, and are designed to let airport security inspect the case without damage.
