Why it matters

Listening to music, shooting video, looking things up and recording conversations usually means juggling several devices. Auriview X1 is pitched as a single hands-free alternative: a bone-conduction AI headset that, according to the maker, records and interprets what you see and hear without asking you to reach for your phone.

Camera at eye level

The maker says the headset houses a 4K POV camera built around a 13MP Samsung sensor, paired with a 130° wide-angle lens positioned on the same axis as the wearer's gaze. Video is recorded in H.265 at 4K/30fps with a bitrate of up to 10M, and the maker states that stabilization tuning reduces shake during cycling or rough trails. A physical button handles capture: one press for a photo, two for video, three for audio recording. Real-time live streaming is also listed.

Open-ear audio and AI assistance

Bone conduction leaves the ear canal open, so music, assistant responses and navigation prompts can be heard alongside traffic and other surroundings. The maker quotes up to 30 hours of continuous music playback at 80% volume and up to 100 hours on standby from an 800mAh lithium-polymer battery, plus dual-mic noise reduction for calls and voice commands. AI visual recognition is designed to analyze objects and text in view and answer spoken questions with audio explanations or translations, backed by what the maker describes as a large language model tuned for wearables. Real-time simultaneous interpretation and an always-available voice assistant round out the feature set.

Connectivity and build

  • Weight: 48g, with components arranged to distribute weight evenly, per the maker
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi6 for transferring 4K footage to the companion app; BLE5.4 for low-power pairing
  • Bluetooth network sharing to use a phone's mobile connection for online AI features
  • Companion app for organizing, tagging, sharing and exporting photos, video and audio, plus a device-finder function
  • OTA firmware updates
  • IPX8 water resistance (rated to 3 meters) and IP6X dust resistance
  • Colors: Black and Orange

Taken together, Auriview X1 aims to merge an action camera, open-ear headphones and a translator into one head-worn device. How well those claims hold up in daily use remains to be seen beyond the campaign's own description.
