Language barriers in business negotiations and travel are the problem Voxera sets out to address. Tailbone Inc. describes it as a real-time, two-way translation earbud that links its dedicated Linkobuds app with ChatGPT-4o processing, with support for 147 languages across phone calls, in-person conversations and on-site situations.

Translation as you listen

The maker says the earbuds capture audio directly and run AI analysis and translation in real time, so the meaning arrives almost as the other person speaks rather than after they finish. Translations play through the earbuds and also appear as text in the app, giving a visual backup in noisy settings or conversations heavy with technical terms. According to the maker, translation is handled by both on-device AI processing and the app, which it says makes it less dependent on network conditions.

For calls, Tailbone says Voxera works with standard voice calls, the calling features of LINE, WeChat and WhatsApp, and online meeting tools such as Zoom and Teams. For face-to-face use, a two-person conversation mode in the app lets both parties speak normally while wearing the earbuds.

Meeting notes, handled by AI

Beyond translation, the maker pitches Voxera as a meeting tool. Start a recording on a smartphone and the audio is transcribed in real time with speaker identification. The AI can then generate a summary of key points and a mind map of the discussion's structure, shareable with a team in one click, and recordings can be translated into other languages. A photo translation feature in the app handles menus, signs, station displays and manuals.

Tailbone states that text, recording, face-to-face and photo translation, along with transcription, AI summaries and mind maps, are free with no usage limits. Call recording and call translation are paid features, with 60 minutes of free use on first use, according to the maker.
