Blipblox myTRACKS

According to the maker, Blipblox myTRACKS is a multifunction music-making device built around intuitive controls. It pairs five tracks with a built-in microphone, and the maker describes a workflow that runs from capturing a sample to building a song in moments.

Tracks and sounds

The five tracks are split so that one is dedicated to drums while the other four play instruments or sound effects; the maker notes that all tracks can also be used as a drum machine. There are 48 instrument sounds, ranging from piano, guitar and orchestral instruments to more unusual sounds that the maker says take inspiration from hip-hop samplers.

Sampling and effects

Samples can be recorded through the built-in microphone and then pitch-shifted across a track to form melodies. Two effects processors offer low-pass and high-pass filtering, delay (echo) and pitch bend, among others, with adjustment in real time. The per-track volume knobs and levers can also double as a MIDI controller, according to the maker.

Design and connectivity

The maker describes the device as lightweight and durable. MIDI IN/OUT and USB-C connectivity are intended to make it straightforward to link with other gear and with a DAW. Blipblox myTRACKS is presented as a Kickstarter project.
