Why it matters

Most projectors still rely on a remote and on-screen menus. The DONGYING A3 takes a different route: according to the maker, its headline feature is an integrated 1080P touchscreen on the unit itself, letting users adjust settings and pick content directly by touch.

Android on board

The A3 runs Android 9.0, which the maker says provides direct access to apps such as Netflix and YouTube, along with support for downloading additional apps. The combination of touchscreen and Android OS could, the source suggests, allow the device to gain functionality through future updates and new apps.

Image and placement

On the projection side, the maker lists 4K resolution video output, a maximum screen size of 450 inches and brightness of 3000 ISO lumens, which it says keeps images clear even in bright daytime conditions.

  • Integrated 1080P touchscreen for direct control
  • Android 9.0 with app download support
  • 4K resolution video output
  • Projection up to 450 inches
  • 3000 ISO lumens brightness
  • Auto-flip function that adjusts the image to the unit's orientation
  • 260-degree tilt adjustment

Two features address placement. An auto-flip function, the maker says, automatically adjusts the image regardless of the angle at which the projector is set down, while 260-degree tilt adjustment is intended to accommodate different room layouts and uses.

The campaign positions the A3 as a portable all-in-one device for home theater, office presentations and outdoor movie screenings.
