Furihome

Furihome was conceived by designer and CEO Amy Zhang, who, according to the project, previously worked on more than 50 projects with the Smokpub team and contributed to the design of two successful products. A cat owner herself, she set out to treat the litter box not as a chore station but as a piece of furniture, under a concept the team calls coexistence between people and cats.

Automated cleaning and odor control

The maker says that after a cat uses the box, an internal mechanism captures clumps and drops them into a drawer below, while fresh litter is gradually dispensed from above. The drawer holds a replaceable waste bag, with a recommended change interval of once every 3 days. For odor, Furihome uses activated-carbon air purification inside the enclosed body, and fragrance pads can be added. The maker says cleaning runs at 50dB or below.

App control and safety

A companion smartphone app lets owners set cleaning timing, check litter levels and receive instant alerts when a fault is detected. A 24-hour activity tracking feature logs how often and how long cats use the box; the campaign suggests changes in these patterns could help flag possible health issues such as urinary problems early. Multiple sensors are said to trigger an emergency stop if a cat enters during a cleaning cycle, and a step at the entrance is designed to knock loose litter from paws.
