IQUNIX MQ80
A low-profile mechanical keyboard in full aluminium, with tri-mode wireless, hot-swap and VIA support
Editor’s view
Why it matters
IQUNIX positions the MQ80 as a low-profile mechanical keyboard that blends a classic look with current hardware features, aimed at gamers, creators and anyone who types for long stretches. The headline claims are a battery rated for up to 350 hours, three ways to connect, hot-swap switches and remapping through VIA.
Build and typing feel
According to the maker, the entire case is made of aluminium, which IQUNIX presents as a step up in rigidity and durability over typical plastic boards. Inside, the MQ80 uses what the company calls a Le-tray gasket mount, its own take on gasket mounting, where cushioning material is sandwiched within the board to smooth out keypresses and tune the typing sound. IQUNIX says the result is a soft, quiet typing feel.
The switches are hot-swappable, so owners can change them without soldering and choose between quieter or more tactile, clicky options to suit their preference.
Connectivity and battery
The MQ80 connects over wired USB-C, Bluetooth or low-latency 2.4GHz wireless. The maker pitches the 2.4GHz mode as a stable link suitable for gaming, while Bluetooth allows switching between multiple devices such as a laptop, tablet and smartphone. Battery life is quoted at up to 350 hours, which IQUNIX contrasts with the few dozen hours it says many wireless keyboards manage.
Key features at a glance
- Full aluminium body
- Wired USB-C, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless modes

- Hot-swappable switches
- Le-tray gasket mount
- VIA support for key mapping and lighting adjustments
