Earbuds have been quietly accumulating jobs beyond playback, and the Monoise P-G2 pushes that idea further than most. The maker pitches it at business travellers, people working across borders and creators, combining AI translation, recording and transcription, and voice-driven image generation in an open-ear design.

Four ways to translate

The maker says the P-G2's AI translation covers more than 100 languages, split across four modes, each with its own language coverage:

• Simultaneous interpretation: translates in real time without interrupting the flow of conversation, aimed at international meetings.
• Earbud sharing: two people each wear one earbud for instant two-way translation in 16 major languages.
• Speaker mode: what you say through the earbuds is played back as translated audio from your smartphone's speaker, suited to travel or ordering in restaurants.
• Call and video call translation: supports 21 languages for online meetings and international calls.

Meetings, mapped

Beyond translation, the earbuds record conversations and summarize them. According to the maker, DeepSeek R1 structures the conversation in real time while GPT-4o generates a mind map automatically. Audio is saved as bilingual text that can later be searched and shared. A separate feature generates images from voice prompts, intended for sketching ideas or building presentation visuals without design skills.

Audio, fit and endurance

For listening, the maker cites LHDC-certified hi-res audio from a 15.13mm dynamic driver, plus AI noise cancelling that analyzes ambient sound in real time. An "independent anti-sound-leak system" is said to limit how much audio escapes the open-ear design. Memory-metal ear hooks are meant to keep the earbuds stable.

The maker quotes up to 8 hours per charge and 48 hours in total with the charging case, with a 10-minute charge giving 2 hours of use. The P-G2 is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance.
