MyComfyTech

Poor air quality and uncomfortable temperatures are everyday irritants, whether outdoors in a city or inside a stuffy room. MyComfyTech attempts to address both with a single wearable device that merges an air purifier and a personal climate-control unit, designed to be carried on the commute, while travelling, at home or in the office.

Filtration

The core of the system is a HEPA 13 filter. The maker says it removes 99.98% of fine particles and allergens, and that pairing it with activated carbon helps deal with bacteria and odours. Airflow is rated at 9m³/h, which the maker describes as quiet yet strong enough to keep fresh air circulating indoors and out.

Heating and cooling at the neck

A second component attaches at the neck and offers both cooling and heating. According to the maker, the temperature can be set with one touch, letting the wearer stay cool in summer and warm in winter.

Design and charging

• Two detachable components with a combined weight of 230 grams, worn around the neck
• Modular design that can also be mounted on a desk, in a car or on a stroller
• Filters made from material the maker describes as 100% upcyclable
• USB-C charger included

MyComfyTech was developed by the MyComfyTech (MCT) team, led by Mark and Peggy, over two years of research and development. The team has exhibited the device in the United States and Europe, and emphasises sustainability in its design. The company says it plans to continue developing its technology following this Kickstarter project.
