Why it matters

Nireeka, based in California, has been developing electric bikes since 2018 and says it has shipped more than 1000 vehicles to 65 countries. The Spectrx is pitched as its take on an "ultimate riding experience": a sporty, clean-lined e-bike with a carbon fiber frame and a battery integrated into the frame.

Power and range

According to the maker, the Spectrx uses a 6000W mid-drive motor producing 280 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 50 mph (about 80 km/h). The campaign says the bike can perform burnouts, and that the mid-drive layout helps weight distribution and cornering stability. Power comes from a 60V 1260Wh battery built with Samsung cells. Charging takes 10–12 hours on the standard 2A charger, or 5 hours with the upgraded 5A charger, the maker states.

Frame, wheels and suspension

The frame is a one-piece monocoque carbon fiber structure. Nireeka says this avoids the bonded joints of conventional carbon frames and comes in at about 15kg, half the weight of a conventional frame, with higher stiffness. A lifetime frame warranty applies when the extended warranty is chosen. Two wheel setups are offered: the Plus version runs a 27.5×3″ rear and 27.5×2.8″ front tire for mixed terrain and everyday riding, while the Fat version uses 26×4″ tires front and rear for sand, snow and rough ground. Rear suspension uses an integrally molded swingarm with a 240x60mm DNM shock and 120mm of travel, with a rebound knob placed for adjustment on the move.

Brakes, display and accessories

  • Hydraulic disc brakes: Tektro HD-E350 as standard, or the 4-piston Tektro HD-E745 (Auriga E-Twin+) as an upgrade
  • Brake sensors that cut motor power when the brakes are applied
  • Optional ABS
  • Display showing speed, battery level, assist mode and motor temperature
  • App for power customization, ride history, speed limits for local regulations and over-the-air firmware updates
  • Rear rack that can take an additional battery, which the maker says extends range by 120%
  • Accessories including underglow lights and a car-grade headlight

The source lists shipping to more than 20 countries, including the US, Canada, EU countries, Japan and Australia, with port-only delivery to some countries in South America and Africa, where buyers handle customs. A 1-year standard warranty is included, with extended coverage available.
