Why it matters

Most at-home cold plunges still depend on ice deliveries or a separate chiller. Snowcap takes a different approach: the cooling hardware lives in the lid itself. The maker describes it as the world's first "thermoelectric cold plunge" experience, combining temperature control, filtration and an ice maker in a single unit.

Cooling and heating in one lid

According to the maker, Snowcap uses thermoelectric technology that can both cool and heat, with a temperature range of 1.5°C to 40°C. No ice or external chiller is required; the company says you simply plug it in and it brings the water to the set temperature, whether at home or outdoors.

Portable by design

The lid is designed to be compact and to work with a dedicated inflatable tub, which the maker says allows setup indoors or outside. The pitch is a cold plunge that fits into daily life without permanent installation.

Filtration and app control

  • Built-in 20-micron filter intended to keep water clean; the maker says this removes the need to change the water
  • Companion app for remotely scheduling when cooling begins, holding water temperature and generating ice
  • Integrated ice maker, according to the campaign

The app is positioned around routine: having the water ready first thing in the morning or after a workout. The maker frames Snowcap as an attempt to make cold-water therapy easier and more comfortable as part of everyday health management.
