SOOCOO S50+

Most action cameras look one way. The SOOCOO S50+ looks both ways: according to the campaign, it places a camera at each end of the body, each with a 170-degree wide-angle lens and a GC2083 CMOS image sensor. The maker says both ends are angled slightly downward so the cameras take in the full road surface.

Three ways to record

• Dual-channel mode: front and rear recorded simultaneously at 1080p/30fps.
• Single 4K mode: either the front or rear camera records alone at 4K/25fps.
• Loop recording: continuous 1- or 3-minute clips that overwrite older footage; the maker says a built-in accelerometer detects collisions and automatically preserves the relevant segment as potential evidence.

The phone as a rear-view mirror

A companion app for iOS and Android connects over Wi-Fi to show live video, start and stop recording and change settings remotely. With a phone mounted on the handlebar, the campaign suggests the rear camera's feed can serve as a real-time digital mirror. The maker also cites an HDR function to balance highlights and shadows in backlit or dim conditions. Footage is saved as MP4 to microSD cards of up to 256GB.

Built for the ride

The maker lists a weight of 145g, an aluminum-alloy body, IP66 water resistance against strong water jets and rain, and a 2400mAh battery rated for up to 4 hours of continuous recording. Mounting options are described as including helmets and handlebars, and an optional wireless remote is offered for control from the grips.

Beyond leisure riding, the device sits at the intersection of action camera and bicycle dashcam, combining recording with rear awareness. Features such as AI functions or cloud-based alerts have been floated as possible future directions, but they are not part of the announced specification.
