The Everything Towel

Most towels force a trade-off: thick cotton absorbs well but turns heavy and stays damp, while lightweight options tend to fall short on absorbency. The Everything Towel is pitched as a way out of that compromise, a single piece of cloth intended to cover bathing, swimming, training and outdoor travel.

Absorbency and drying time

According to the maker, the towel absorbs 4 times its own weight in water and, thanks to a weave structure that keeps air moving through the fabric, dries completely within 60 minutes. The campaign positions this as a fix for damp gym bags and musty beach kit, and says the towel is large enough to wrap the body while staying light and compact enough to slip into a bag.

Fouta weave, natural cotton

The fabric uses Fouta weaving, a traditional North African technique developed for everyday use in heat, salt and dust. The maker says the towel is made solely from sustainably grown natural cotton with no synthetic materials, and that it is produced by family-run workshops on the Mediterranean coast, where artisans finish each piece on traditional looms. A three-dimensional weave is said to increase surface area without adding weight, and sand reportedly shakes off with a light flick. Care instructions call for a gentle cold-water wash without fabric softener, which the maker says helps preserve absorbency and drying performance over repeated washes.

Sizes and colours

• Oversize: covers the whole body; also suggested as a beach mat or picnic sheet
• Compact: sized for a pocket or small sacoche, for gym sweat, commuting or children's hands
• Offered singly or in sets of 2, 6 and 12
• Additional colours unlocked as project backing grows, per the campaign

The maker also suggests uses beyond bathing, from shade cloth at the river to a hand towel at home or a towel for drying pets, with the idea that one or two pieces in different sizes can replace several specialised towels when travelling.
