Why it matters

Wireless screen sharing has often meant installing apps, pairing devices and tolerating lag or softened image quality, while cables bring their own clutter and port-placement limits. YURON, a Kickstarter project, approaches the problem by doing the setup at the factory. The maker says no app installation, Bluetooth pairing or Wi-Fi network configuration is needed: plug the transmitter into the source device, the receiver into the display, and the link establishes itself automatically.

Image quality and range

According to the maker, quad-core processing drives 4K 60Hz HDR10 output with low latency, and a dynamic frame adaptation feature adjusts frame rate to keep playback smooth. An adaptive 5G Wi-Fi link works with H.265 compression and intelligent bandwidth allocation to keep audio and video in sync. The company also claims a transmission range of 45 meters, including through walls, which it positions for large meeting rooms, classrooms, or sending a bedroom phone's screen to a living-room TV.

Modes, compatibility and control

YURON supports both mirror mode and extend mode, letting the large screen either duplicate the source or act as an additional display. The maker says it works with almost any USB-C device supporting DP Alt Mode as well as devices with HDMI output, and it comes in two transmitter versions, one with USB-C and one with HDMI. Displays with VGA or DP inputs can be connected via adapters.

  • One-tap disconnect and reconnect for stopping screen sharing quickly
  • Receiver connects to up to 8 transmitters, switchable with a single button
  • 100W PD3.0 power delivery through the USB-C port for charging while presenting
  • Dimensions of 10×3.5×1 cm and a weight of 40 grams
  • Cooling design with 6 independent thermal zones and 192 ventilation holes across the chassis

The cooling architecture, the maker says, is intended to prevent thermal throttling during sustained 4K transmission and to contribute to the device's longevity. The pitch spans business presentations, multi-presenter classrooms and home viewing or gaming, all built around removing cables and configuration from the process.
